About Bobbi Butterfly

My name is Bobbi Brown.  I am a missionary in Tororo Uganda and have been here for almost 20 years.  For the first five years I was here with my husband.  My husband went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2010 and at that time I had no intention of returning to Uganda without him.  God, however, had a different plan for my life and in 2012 I did return to Uganda on my own --- just me and God.  

Since returning to Uganda, I have been working with my good friends in Uganda establishing a ministry.  Our ministry is named Mavuno Ministries.  Our headquarters are in Gainesville, Georgia under our Director Philip McQueen. We have built a school for vulnerable children  starting with 29 preschool students in 2013 and we now have over 200 students covering preschool up to seventh grade. My ministry here includes, school chaplain, youth bible study teacher, youth choir leader, women's bible study leader.  I also am Jaaja (adopted grandma) to two precious boys.
